Even though we've just entered April, I've already got a bunch of things to update you about. Topics for Today:

LOCKDOWN PROCESS
The good news: The books are printed. They exist!
The great news: The books are on their way to our fulfillment partner two weeks ahead of schedule.
With past projects, I knew that our shipping partner would likely receive the books within 3-5 days of the printer sending them out. However, after the schedule and work shifts caused by Covid in 2020, that timeline became 10-20 days, and that's closer to the projections shared with us on this project. I expected the books to deliver to the warehouse in the final week of April.
Instead they'll deliver next week.
SO: I know I'd laid out a healthy timeline for our lockdown process, planning to have all addresses locked in by April 26. Now I'm hoping we can tighten that up by a few weeks to have everything confirmed by April 16 instead.
This would make the revised lockdown schedule:
APRIL3 2021: ORDER CONFIRMATION- All orders confirmed. That will give us final order quantities, and everyone will have their rewards locked in for processing. Final order call has gone out via e-mail today, and all orders will lock in 48 hours. Please click on the link in your confirmation e-mail (or via BackerKit info below) to review your order and make any changes you'd like. After Saturday, orders will be locked in and we won't be able to adjust.
APRIL 142021: PAYMENT PROCESSING - I'd like to begin processing payments for BackerKit Add Ons and adjustments and pre-orders on April 14. I know that's a few days earlier than initially listed, but we can't finalize shipping information until payments are processed. If you have a payment to make via BackerKit, please ensure that your credit card info has been supplied and ready to be charged on April 14.
(If there are any issues with payments, I will retry processing on subsequent day until our original April 17 deadline, but want to get as many locked in as early as possible.)
APRIL 17 2021: CONFIRM SHIPPING INFORMATION - On April 15, I'll send out a final call to update any shipping information with a 48 hour automatic lockdown. If your shipping information in BackerKit is correct, you're all set and don't need to worry. If you need to update your address, please do so prior to April 17. On April 18, our shipping partner will be pulling the order and address information to begin picking, packing and preparing your shipments. We will ship to the address in the system as of April 17th.
BRAZILIAN BACKERS
Please ensure your CPF Number is included with your address information. Your order may not be processed through customs if this information is not available to the border agency, so please ensure it's listed.

SHIPPING UPDATE
Locking everything in a few weeks early will keep it all moving, but there are still a few steps before the books delivery. Onyx Path's fulfillment partners need to load in the order info, pick, pack and prepare the orders for shipment. There are a lot of orders, so a lot of skids will be set up, and that'll take some time for the various delivery agencies to pick up and start the journey to backers. Once I've got tracking numbers, I'll send an update on how to look up this information in BackerKit and how to track your order. That'll probably come with the month end update at the end of April.
BACKER REWARD DISTRIBUTION
That's all a lot of information to absorb, so here's an awesome thing to help it go down more smoothly!
Remember during the campaign when we hit this Stretch Goal and added a new supplement called Faithful Undead to our rewards list?
Well, that supplement evolved during development to be called Children of the Blood, and now it's ready to go out to backers!
Children of the Blood includes
A broad selection of new SPCs to introduce into your stories as antagonists and supporting characters, with many linked to strange and dangerous cult organizations - some new for Children of the Blood, others expanding concepts introduced in Cults of the Blood Gods and Forbidden Religions.

BACKER PDF VERSION
This is the first version of Children of the Blood to be released. We've sent you this initial Backer PDF for three reasons:
1) Who wants to wait?! These projects can take a long time to turn into final releases - you know that - and the Onyx Path team wants to get them into your hands as quickly as possible!
2) To thank you for your support! This project, literally, is a direct result of your support during the Kickstarter campaign. You deserve to see it before anyone else!
3) To make the final version the best it can be! The design and development teams have done their best to proofread and correct any errors and typos - but some always sneak through. If you catch any typos, incorrect math, visual glitches, and the like, we want to hear about them and correct them before we send the book off to print.
With that in mind, I'd like to introduce the Children of the BloodFeedback Form!
Generally, Onxy Path tries to keep errata collection open for the next 2 weeks, so please report what you can as soon as possible to make sure they're getting everything covered.
They won't be collecting errata from other spots, just this specific form. Please note this form will be for errata only. It won't be for general book discussion - you can do that in a different thread, or on the Kickstarter comments page.
Also, they already know about any Page XX notations - those are usually corrected after any changes are made and the books are being finalized.
After any needed corrections are made (based on your feedback!), they will prepare an updated final PDF version of the book and you will receive a notice from DrivethruRPG that you can re-download your file with the latest version.
You've already made the book a reality with your Kickstarter support. Now you can make it even better by helping us crowdsource any minor errors and corrections.
That's a lot of information to absorb all in a single update! So, key take aways:

March 2021 Update - Time to Lockdown Orders

Welcome to the final week of March, and time for our regular month end update. There's nothing regular about this one, though, since it's time to lockdown the orders and prepare for reward shipment.

BACKERKIT LOCKDOWN PROCESS
The hardcover V5 Cults of the Blood Gods books are part of Onyx Path's spring shipping schedule. The book is now at the printer, and over the past few months the team has reviewed and approved test print proofs and confirmed order quantities. The books are printing now and should deliver to our fulfillment partners by the end of April. Though we've come a long way on this project, there are still a few final checklists and hurdles to jump. But we're getting close!
All of that said, it means it's time to start locking in their backer and pre-order quantities, collect any outstanding payments, and confirm shipping information so they know how to allocate the books. The first step in this process is for everyone to review their BackerKit information and ensure it's accurate.

LOCKDOWN SCHEDULE
1. CONFIRM REWARDS - I'll be locking down all Reward Lists, so if you wanted to add any additional rewards, please do so by APRIL 3, 2021. In just over one week, I will lock down all reward lists and you won't be able to adjust or add anything after that time.
2. CONFIRM ALL PAYMENT INFORMATION - For any additions you made in BackerKit, pre-orders, or any payments that did not process at the end of the Kickstarter campaign, please ensure your payment information is up to date, valid, and ready to be processed by APRIL17, 2021. In just over three weeks, I will instruct BackerKit to lock down and process all outstanding payments.
3. CONFIRM SHIPPING INFORMATION - Please ensure your shipping information is up-to-date with your expected address for May 2021. Please ensure that this information is entered and correct by APRIL26, 2021. In just over four weeks, I will take the shipping information we have for you in BackerKit and provide that to our fulfillment partners, so they can start picking and packing orders, with plans to ship for May delivery.
Quick note on schedules and timelines
2021 continues the trend established last year, demonstrating that time does not work the way we think, and all plans need to be adjustable on the fly. I'm trying to keep a little ahead to have room to make alterations as needed, but obviously, these dates and the idea of delivering in May our best guesses based on current projections. Everything seems on track to get these books out in the spring shipment, but should things change, I'll send communication and we'll update as necessary.
ADDRESS CONFIRMATION & DELIVERY OBLIGATIONS.
Consider this the (at least) four-weeks-from-fulfillment warning to update your information, after which point, you agree that our responsibility to you is to ship your order as listed in our BackerKit pledge manager system, that title and risk passes to you upon delivery to a common carrier for such shipment, and you are responsible for import duties or any other duties that may be payable to the relevant tax authorities, providing correct address information and ensuring this address is deliverable by normal methods. Failure to confirm mailing address prior to April 26, 2021 will be taken as agreement that all obligations have been met and no further action or effort is required on the part of Onyx Path.
That's my brief surface-style semi-legal notice saying, basically, we're going to ship to the address you've provided by our cut off date, so please ensure your information is as accurate as possible. And, we'll do our best to get the book into your hands and make sure it all works out! But we can only work with the information we have, and shipping systems as they are today. Things have been weird lately, so let's work together to make it happen. I'll do my best on my end!
(Of course, if you're getting digital rewards only, you don't need to worry about your address. This is just for the physical books and screens).
SHIPPING UPDATE TO COME
This is all in anticipation of shipping in May. I will send another update when the books are actually ready to go and will begin shipping, but we need to have this information locked down prior to that stage. If you find yourself in an unusual circumstance or your residence unexpectedly changes between April26 and the date I send out the shipping update, contact me to see what I can do at that time.

It's a short month, so I'll get right to our month end update!
No major announcements this month, but I do have a quick art preview from Children of the Blood, one of our Stretch Goal supplements...
Children of the Blood
Our main reward, the V5 Cults of the Blood Gods hardcover, is currently in the test print proofing phase. This means the printer has created pages and sent them to the Onyx Path team for review and correction. So, feedback has been provided and the printer will update with all of the requested changes. The team is working hard to ensure this book lives up to the precedent set by Chicago By Night and other Onyx Path releases.
So, there are still a few more steps before I begin the lockdown process, but we're getting closer. Once I have confirmation that the books have completed printing and are being shipped to our fulfillment partners, I will begin locking in final orders, processing any BackerKit payments, and getting a final confirmation on shipping information.

It's been just about two months since the PDF version of Cults of the Blood Gods went out. For me, it was one of the bright spots as we came to the end of 2020. Thanks to everyone who provided feedback and helped with errata - I believe Onyx Path will be updating the files at DriveThruRPG in the next few days with the final version of the book.
Depending on how your communication preferences are set up at DriveThruRPG, you may receive an e-mail notice to let you know when an updated version is available. Either way, you'll always be able to download the latest version from your DTRPG digital library at any time.
Let's start making 2021 a bit better than 2020... how about a bonus reward.
BONUS REWARD
At the time of our campaign for Cults of the Blood Gods, licensing arrangements prevented Onyx Path from offering or creating a Print-on-Demand version of the book. For those who missed out on the kickstarter campaign, or who are looking for a second copy, DriveThruRPG has a few international partners who can digitally print one-off versions of the book.
Luckily, there have been some changes in the way that White Wolf has structured their Vampire: The Masquerade license and projects, and Onyx Path has found themselves able to add a Print-on-Demand option to sit alongside the PDF release. To thank you for your support and help in funding this project and making it awesome, they've been able to work out a discounted cost for backers looking to purchase a PoD version from DriveThru.

While Print-on-Demand capability has improved dramatically over the past decade and a completely serviceable option in most cases, it still hasn't quite achieved the final quality of a traditional print run. The hardcover book reward from the Kickstarter is projected to ship in a few more months, but this Print-on-Demand option exists for those who missed the kickstarter campaign, want another copy for their game table, or can't wait for that final shipment to go out.

So, for those backers who pledged at the PDF only reward tier, or those backers who might be looking for a second copy for the table, there are two different versions of Print-On-Demand options available.
Standard Color Heavyweight uses a thick 70# white paper which has better page opacity. (that's "70 pound" for reference, but does not mean each page weighs 70 lbs!). Standard Heavyweight Color uses inkjet technology. (These are not the same inkjet printers you have at home - these are often as big or bigger than a car!) This option offers lower cost but the colors won't be as sharp or bright as a Premium Color book.
Premium Color Heavyweight uses the same 70# paper, but uses a digital offset press. This option offers superior color quality but is more expensive to produce.
(Remember to order via the discount link in your BackerKit digital rewards locker! That link is your coupon and must be the first step in your PoD order.)
