As a Hero, a Scion becomes a figure of myth and story, an exemplar of some virtue of their chosen society or the culture they’re born into. Even before their Visitation, the children of the Gods are a breed apart. But some want more than this lesser form of immortality, forever in the shadow of their parents. The golden ichor within the Scion’s heart sears and cooks them, ever burning away any human frailties of the Scion and driving them toward more audacious Deeds. They seek to become truly transformational figures, leaving The World forever different in their wake. At the fifth dot of Legend, it all reaches a tipping point, where the Scion is formed more of divine ichor than mortal flesh —more immortal than mortal, a true Demigod. They have declared to The World that they will not be pawns of Fate, but players in their own right. They will succeed in becoming a God, or they will die with their failure.
Everything up to this point was your prologue. Now it’s time to live your myth.
Scion: Demigod continues the path set down by Scion: Origin and Scion: Hero, expanding Scion Second Edition’s power level and charting the next level of power tiers for the Scions of the Gods. Players will take their characters through a tightly designed yet flexible story arc that ends in apotheosis or death – either way, the character will no longer be mortal after this book. Your characters don’t have to follow every Milestone with their Deeds — but they cannot run from their destiny once they’ve chosen to embrace it.

Now on Kickstarter, a slightly different take on horror from developer Matthew Dawkins
Onyx Path's latest game of cinema-inspired fun is They Came from Beyond the Grave! If you're a fan of Christopher Lee as Dracula, Hammer horror films, or the Amicus movies, this game is for you.
Set in two time periods - the 1970s, when these movies were made, and the 19th century, when many were set - you may just find yourself running or participating in a tale of suspense set across two different eras, both of which contain a mix of hammy acting, technicolor blood, wobbling sets, and all the screams an audience could want.
Indulge in the cigarette smoke, despairing mood, and wide collars of the 1970s. Enjoy the rock and drugs entering the mainstream. What was counterculture is now simply culture. Maybe you favor the disco, or perhaps the punk scene is more your thing. Grow a mustache. Grow a whole beard! It’s no longer rebellious to wear hair or sideburns so long or skirts so short: it’s expected. Hitchhiking isn’t a death sentence yet. Or not quite. Everyone owns a car, and international travel has never felt so easy.
Prepare to trudge through the London fog, creep around unlit alleys, and get lost on misty moors as your deerstalker and long coat gets saturated from the rain apparently incessant throughout the 19th century depicted in the cinema. Prepare to catch a ride in a carriage and ask the driver why he’s going so fast through this part of the woods. Expect to knock on the door to an imposing castle, only to see the butler, far too pale of face, ask whether you’re here to see “the mistress.” The 19th century beckons you to play within its Victorian gothic mood. Start the game here or start it in the 1970s — whichever you prefer, They Came from Beyond the Grave! has monsters, stories, and encounters for whatever tale you wish to tell.

No major updates for this month, but wanted to make sure I continue my monthly update posts to track all of our rewards and continue to share any info about the project (and other Onyx Path projects) so we're all in the loop.

Hello Kickstarter Coterie,
It's time, once again, for our month end status summary. It feels like it's been only a few days since our April update, even though it's been a month, so no surprise that there aren't any big announcements or changes with this one, we're still in early stages of this project, so I'll get right to it!
My hair and beard do not look this trim. Or blond. A LOT of grey sneaking in over the past three months...

All of our Stretch Goal projects are currently in Redlines, so getting feedback and preparing to move to Second Draft. You may also note that Forbidden Faiths has been renamed Forbidden Religions, so I've updated our Reward Tracking list. I also see Trail of Bone and Ashes listed as Trail of Ash and Bone, but I'm holding off on updating that one until I confirm which is which. Either way, I'm excited that the projects are moving along!

Hello Blood Cult Backers!
Even though many of us are currently isolated and social-distancing, it's always a good idea to maintain your connection with your fellow cult members (and kickstarter backer community!) Even when we're not together, we can demonstrate our togetherness - and here's another way!
It's not so much a uniform as a beacon to others and a show of community. Also, it's a T-shirt!
I'm getting ready to switch to short sleeves soon! Although the weather outside doesn't seem to be on the same schedule...
I could use a slight wardrobe change, even if it's just to surprise myself when I pass by a mirror. (This may not work for certain vampires) And, today, I've got a new option!
